About Me:
Looking over my life, it seems I have lived several in my 48 years. My intent since youth has been to leave behind a most colorful portrait of memory and experience. In doing so, I have left a trail full of both peace and destruction at different times. But I have lived full, and drive to continue in the same manner. Live well and be courageous! Fear nothing and seek your passion!

I am very relationship oriented; not in a simple and superficial way, but intensely deep. I am always looking deeper into a person than what they present on the surface. I seek to know what is truly inside of them and how I can help to bring it closer to the surface.

During the past fifteen years, I have increasingly focused my attention and energies on helping to build people – to move them to a place they already know exists within them, but fear moving toward it. I have done this with speaking, writing and personal attention. I have written plays with a certain target audience in mind and taken them to several places in the U.S. to perform. This has all been done free and for the purpose of drawing the better out of people. (one of these plays was Choose You Must - now becoming a novel)

I am moving my life at a much faster pace than previously. I am writing ferociously with two more books to finish this year (2009) and one early 2010. I feel strongly called to bring each one to you. For this reason I write them, no other. See them at www.christianschaal.com

My purpose on this earth is to facilitate growth in others. Not from a program I develop and seek profit from, but from the depth of each individual. We each have our own place of being; we simply fear the path, blinded to it by so many outside influences and forces. My call is to bring you to your own path and help show you it is not only safe to travel, but also most rewarding.

Live Life! And live it to your inner potential...the one you have probably hidden away in a dark corner because of limits others have placed upon you. Go for it!

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Come on Over

I'm over at a few other blogs today. If you get a chance, come on over to see the Christmas Decorations at http://acmeauthorslink.blogspot.com/

At http://bloodredpencil.blogspot.com/  the topic is Spoiled Milk. Ever sit down to read a good book and been disappointed?

If you haven't yet, check out the post below about the Paper War.

Thanks,
Morgan Mandel

Paper War

I've been waging a war on paper the last few days. So far, paper is winning. The more I clean up, the more of it I find. The problem is, for much of it, I feel an obligation to do a thorough examination and decide whether or not it's worth keeping.

The mailperson is my enemy. He, sometimes she, keeps leaving more paper in my mail box. I'm not talking about my Christmas cards, which I cherish, but all the other stuff dropped off for me to sort out. At times it's torture to come home and see the new pile the DH has set on the kitchen table.

I've discovered tons of magazines over a year old. They were trying to hide in a magazine holder on the side of the couch, but not doing a good job of it, since they were spilling over. Of course, I decided to check the headings on the covers to see if some of the information inside might prove valuable. Wouldn't you know it, I was right. Many articles seemed to good to give up.

I've already mentioned here before about how I also have a compulsion to print out emails that seem important to me. The result is I have lots of important pieces of paper. When there's an abundance, which is the most important? And, where's the one I really need? It is a quandary.

What about you? Is paper your enemy? Are you also waging a war against it? Who is winning?
