John Rose is the author and publisher of THE MONSTERGRRLS, a comedy-fantasy about four teenage monsters who leave their shadowy netherworld home of Morlock Heights to attend Clearwater High School in the human world. About Me:
John Rose was born in Meridian, MS, but was transplanted to Greenwood, MS after graduating from Delta State University with a degree in art education. He has taught in the Greenwood Public Schools for 14 years, and created the MonsterGrrls during that time. In addition to working on MonsterGrrls projects and his writing, John reads extensively and voraciously, collects various sci-fi, classic horror and fantasy memorabilia, studies genre-related film and comic book history, cooks a lot of Italian food and plays guitar not very well. He has half ownership (with a friend) of a very fine dog named Jenny Murphy. He is a member of both state and local chapters of the Mississippi Writers' Guild and an unrepentant fan of the classic punk rock bands the Ramones and the Misfits, both of whom have had a major influence on his work. He lives in Greenwood, MS with a brain in a jar named Alfred.

Good Evening...

Hello to everyone on BookPlace from the Monster
Shop. We were referred by a friend who told us it was a "MySpace
for books," which made us skeptical at first, since we posted a
MonsterGrrls page on MySpace and met with little success and an awful
lot of "unreal" people. However, the outpouring of goodwill and
friendly folk we have met here shows that not all such places are like
MySpace, and we are very proud to be a part of this group.

We invite everyone on BookSpace t

Great to have you join us and good luck with your writing. I'm working on marketing right now and that's much harder than the writing itself... Shirley

You guessed right. My entries are Prose Sketches. They do paint a picture, with some poetics, and the word Sketch just to admit it's a moment which passed from a larger event.

Thanks for the compliment:)
