About Me:
Three years ago, I observed the need for myself and humanity as a whole, to have a language that helps us to connect and communicate more peacefully.

It is because of this need within myself that I discovered Laughter Yoga and received my Certification as a Leader. Since then, It became my personal mission to learn more about how it benefited my own health, as well as the hearts and minds of people that practiced it.

Are you wondering, "Just what IS Laughter Yoga"? Great question! The series of gentle exercises consist of, and combine deep yogic breathing and intentional laughter exercises in order to assist us in bringing out our childlike playfulness.

When we ask our bodies to laugh, we are more able to connect with, and invite our inner child to come out and play. In turn, we experience health benefits that no drug can duplicate. A natural, self induced endorphin rush that helps relieve both emotional and physical pain; accessible anytime, anywhere.

Three years have passed since I became Certified, and I still feel an almost insatiable desire to learn more. What other tools do we require to learn how to communicate with more compassion in order to achieve peace in our families and on our planet as a whole?

I still ponder this question. Have you?

Let me tell you what has developed since I first made it my mission to learn about the human connection through laughter.

While teaching Laughter Yoga, I've observed people of all ages experience joy and stress relief by participating. I've seen them return to class again and again. They often comment how Laughter Yoga has helped to boost their self confidence. Clients have told me that Laughter Yoga helped to ease the pain of depression and physical pain, such as that caused by Cancer and arthritis. They have also told me that it helps them to sleep more efficiently and that they are less reactive in tense situations.

The classes I offer online provide my clients with a safe network of loving and often humorous people that enjoy laughing and connecting daily as they are now what a I call a "Laughing Family". An online family that meets because they enjoy each others company, as well as the enormous health benefits that their giggling community provides them.

Seeing, hearing, and feeling the playfulness expressed by their body language, eye contact, and laughter, has enriched my self growth; meeting my need for fulfillment and purpose, which translates to more joy and abundance in my life.

What a fantastic feeling it is to hear and see people shedding away layers of pain, by allowing themselves to let go in any moment, just by asking their bodies to do so with a laugh.

Let me tell you one thing I have learned about healthy communication. It often begins with a smile.

Paper War

I've been waging a war on paper the last few days. So far, paper is winning. The more I clean up, the more of it I find. The problem is, for much of it, I feel an obligation to do a thorough examination and decide whether or not it's worth keeping.

The mailperson is my enemy. He, sometimes she, keeps leaving more paper in my mail box. I'm not talking about my Christmas cards, which I cherish, but all the other stuff dropped off for me to sort out. At times it's torture to come home and see the new pile the DH has set on the kitchen table.

I've discovered tons of magazines over a year old. They were trying to hide in a magazine holder on the side of the couch, but not doing a good job of it, since they were spilling over. Of course, I decided to check the headings on the covers to see if some of the information inside might prove valuable. Wouldn't you know it, I was right. Many articles seemed to good to give up.

I've already mentioned here before about how I also have a compulsion to print out emails that seem important to me. The result is I have lots of important pieces of paper. When there's an abundance, which is the most important? And, where's the one I really need? It is a quandary.

What about you? Is paper your enemy? Are you also waging a war against it? Who is winning?

Rascal's Turn to Post

Today, I'm going to tackle my State of Illinois sales tax form, which is due by the end of the month. It's a necessary evil for making book sales outside of stores.

So, I let Rascal do a post instead. You can read it at http://www.doggyspace.com/journal/57331

If you understand her frustration, you can share it with her here or there.

Thanks,
Morgan

Rascal is sleeping right now. When she gets up, you'll know about it.

When RASCAL wakes up, you'll hear from her and/or her Mom - that would be me, Morgan Mandel.
