About Me:
I was 'published' in a college competition journal; won 1st place in Science Fiction. I was 'published' in a graduate school journal for women. But I have not yet published a full-length book. That is my aspiration. I love to read, but I love to write even better...I also love to draw, and sing, and walk my baby Yorkie: Edison. I have so many stories to tell, I just have to figure out how to stop working my day job so I can have time to write!
Favorite Books:
The Professor and the Madman, Tuesdays with Morrie, The Legacy, The Lion of Ireland, Wide Sargosso Sea, Middlemarch, just a whole ream of titles, but I can't put all my favorites because....everytime I read a book: it's my favorite!
Favorite Bookstores on land or cyberspace
Borders, Barnes and Noble, Amazon.ANY book store, ANYwhere! I practically have a bookstore in my home, it's so full of books! My husband has been pleading with me to get rid of many of them, but I just can't!

Hi, Lydia. Love Is Murder was great. It is every year and I really like the new hotel. Jeffery Deaver was a hoot at the conference. I had the distinct pleasure to sit beside him while we signed books for our fans. Actually for my one fan and his long line of fans. He's a very gracious and down-to-earth author.

Hi Lydia:

I have not been on this site for quite some time so didn't see your friend request. I would be glad to be on your friend's list. How are you coming along with your writing? What are you writing at this time?

My first novel was published by an e-book publisher: SynergEbooks, last year. At first I hesitated about it coming out as an e-book, but now I'm glad I went for it. It is so hard to get noticed in the traditional publishing world. At least this way, the book is out there and some people will read it.

I wish you luck in your writing endeavors. If you won received writing award, you are probably very talented. Go for it!!

Dear Lydia,

I am delighted to know you and it would be great to chat with you. I never worked at Dalton's, but I ran a science-fiction bookshop here (London) for 4 years. One of the best jobs I ever had - loved the stock, loved the customers.
Hugs and kisses,
Lesley

Thank you, Lydia. I'm happy to be on your friends' list. Like you, I have so many favorite books, I find it a hard question to answer always, but I do love Daughter of Time, and I keep meaning to read The Professor and the Madman. There's never enough time, is there?

True Lydia, we do share an instant mutual love. I'm not sure why I stopped raising Yorkies except that the vet was making far more than me. :) I have a tiny pom-poo mix now who is equally stubborn and bossy.
I'm glad you like my name. Kind of decided to go with it as I'm too absentminded to remember a new one.
I'm a newbie author with the Wild Rose. Who are you with?

Lydia,

Thanks for the comment. I'd love to chat sometime.

Yup, I'm a newbie author. I'm currently in the process of working things out with a publisher and keeping my fingers crossed. I'm learning patience through this process!
