Tamela Quijas ANGEL'S FIRE, DEMON'S BLOOD --let me update you and give you an excerpt

This is my most recent release. I decided to dabble in the paranormal romance genre and became hooked! Let me see---how can I best describe this book? What do you get when you involve a television reporter, a paranormal investigative team, an opinionated ghost, a secretive best selling author and a demon? Lucien D'Angel. EXCERPT (G) "Do you truly believe in what you investigate, Mr. Angeles?" She persisted, even as a slight dizziness caused a wave of nausea to strike her. In the far distan… Continue

If you're a writer, I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar that at some point you've stumbled upon the dreaded Writer's Block. It's the point at which your ideas DRY UP. You can't imagine how your story should continue. You aren't able to turn on your creative spark. You're lost for inspiration. You feel like you're in limbo. You feel STUCK. As a writer, I personally find this the worst feeling in the world. I feel trapped. I know I have a huge hurdle to jump over, but have absolutely no idea ho… Continue

Timothy Kendrick Can you imagine landing yourself a HUGE publishing contract... AND enjoying a five-figure royalty ADVANCE.. Before you've written even a WORD of your book?

The publishing process is a NIGHTMARE. You spend years perfecting your manuscript. You take months researching the best agents and publishers in town. You blast out your manuscripts - only to receive a handful of pre-printed rejection slips in return. So, you get more desperate - and start sending out manuscripts a dozen at a time. More and more. Nobody is interested. You're FRUSTRATED. And ANGRY. And... GRRR! But it doesn't have to be that way. Can you imagine landing yourself a HUGE publ… Continue

Margay Justice My Chat at The Haunt

This Sunday, January the 18th, I will be doing a chat at The Haunt. This is an all day event, so I will be dropping in periodically to chat, take reader questions, post an excerpt or two. You never know what might happen or who might happen by. (Hint: There's a certain dark angel who likes to hijack my interviews from time to time, so you might want to be on the lookout for him.) MORGAN'S OWN BLOGSPOT

Come on Over

I'm over at a few other blogs today. If you get a chance, come on over to see the Christmas Decorations at http://acmeauthorslink.blogspot.com/

At http://bloodredpencil.blogspot.com/  the topic is Spoiled Milk. Ever sit down to read a good book and been disappointed?

If you haven't yet, check out the post below about the Paper War.

Thanks,
Morgan Mandel

Paper War

I've been waging a war on paper the last few days. So far, paper is winning. The more I clean up, the more of it I find. The problem is, for much of it, I feel an obligation to do a thorough examination and decide whether or not it's worth keeping.

The mailperson is my enemy. He, sometimes she, keeps leaving more paper in my mail box. I'm not talking about my Christmas cards, which I cherish, but all the other stuff dropped off for me to sort out. At times it's torture to come home and see the new pile the DH has set on the kitchen table.

I've discovered tons of magazines over a year old. They were trying to hide in a magazine holder on the side of the couch, but not doing a good job of it, since they were spilling over. Of course, I decided to check the headings on the covers to see if some of the information inside might prove valuable. Wouldn't you know it, I was right. Many articles seemed to good to give up.

I've already mentioned here before about how I also have a compulsion to print out emails that seem important to me. The result is I have lots of important pieces of paper. When there's an abundance, which is the most important? And, where's the one I really need? It is a quandary.

What about you? Is paper your enemy? Are you also waging a war against it? Who is winning?

Have you tried a library display? If you want to see mine, come on over to Make Mine Mystery on Monday.
