Nancy Crossman Dancing Naked With Trees

Solitude envelops the little cottage, Far away from the milieu of the city, Night has claimed the evening sky. Birch trees sway in the brisk autumn breeze, White bark on their naked silhouettes Like naughty wood nymphs dancing nude, In the dark forest where bright stars, In the black velvet sky above Illuminate the dance floor. Dry leaves rustle in the night, Applauding the graceful frolic Of the shimmering birch trees; A sudden gust, and poplar trees join in the dance, Moving back and forth, ke… Continue

Gianni Truvianni Love Of My Life

An article about how I; Gianni Truvianni have met the love of my life at the age of 42 and how it perhaps has not changed me, for I do not believe that people do but has definitely brought to the surface aspects of me I was not even aware I possessed. I had always considered it slightly strange or at least till I met the one whom I refer to as “silly girl” that some would want to be with a certain somebody to the point of feeling that if romantic union with that person was not possible theirs w… Continue

Tory Richards Women have flaws...WHAT?!!

God doesn't give you the people you want, He gives you the people you NEED: to help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you, and to make you into the person you were meant to be. Women...bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy. They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice. They don't take "no" for an answe… Continue

Rosemary Morris Murder Most Foul - A Classical Tale from Ancient India

Murder Most Foul When the sun retired on cool evenings, purple shadows crept across the fields and villagers sat in stout, mud-brick houses either gossiping or telling stories. The elders sat closest to slow burning fires of cow-dung cakes dried during summer’s ferocity, and whenever they mentioned King Chitraketu’s name, they praised him. But the king found his life more barren than a desert because he had not received a son from any of his wives. Whether he resided in his capital city Mathura… Continue

Rosemary Morris Seasonal Fruit from an Author's Organic Garden

Seasonal Fruit from an Author’s Summer Garden I have gardened organically for the last twenty years in Hertfordshire, England. When I moved into a house with a medium size back garden overgrown with blackberries, thistles and nettles I knew I must invest time and money. So, I decided to make my money work for me. Instead of concentrating on ornamental plants I planted fruit trees. I now have a wild plum tree, a cooking apple tree, three eating apple trees, two pear trees, two plum trees and one… Continue

Samie Foster Elixer Smoothie Review

Elixer by Davis Bunn Overall rating: Is it over yet? This book is just one of those books that you grab off of the discount shelf at a store. You read the back and words like “A reluctant man must uncover a conspiracy of pharmaceutical company before they kill him.’ It has the image of test tube on the cover and image of man on the run. So why not? I like a espionage novel every once and I’ll give it a try. The story is about this man named Taylor. He’s in one of the high places in a small ph… Continue

MORGAN'S OWN BLOGSPOT

Come on Over

I'm over at a few other blogs today. If you get a chance, come on over to see the Christmas Decorations at http://acmeauthorslink.blogspot.com/

At http://bloodredpencil.blogspot.com/  the topic is Spoiled Milk. Ever sit down to read a good book and been disappointed?

If you haven't yet, check out the post below about the Paper War.

Thanks,
Morgan Mandel

Paper War

I've been waging a war on paper the last few days. So far, paper is winning. The more I clean up, the more of it I find. The problem is, for much of it, I feel an obligation to do a thorough examination and decide whether or not it's worth keeping.

The mailperson is my enemy. He, sometimes she, keeps leaving more paper in my mail box. I'm not talking about my Christmas cards, which I cherish, but all the other stuff dropped off for me to sort out. At times it's torture to come home and see the new pile the DH has set on the kitchen table.

I've discovered tons of magazines over a year old. They were trying to hide in a magazine holder on the side of the couch, but not doing a good job of it, since they were spilling over. Of course, I decided to check the headings on the covers to see if some of the information inside might prove valuable. Wouldn't you know it, I was right. Many articles seemed to good to give up.

I've already mentioned here before about how I also have a compulsion to print out emails that seem important to me. The result is I have lots of important pieces of paper. When there's an abundance, which is the most important? And, where's the one I really need? It is a quandary.

What about you? Is paper your enemy? Are you also waging a war against it? Who is winning?

Library Displays - See Make Mine Mystery Monday

Have you tried a library display? If you want to see mine, come on over to Make Mine Mystery on Monday.

Thanks,
Morgan
