This is Jitters Week!

This week is jittrs week. Monday was my big release date for The Frugal Editor: Put Your Best Book Forward to Avoid Humiliation and Ensure Success. It, unlike The Frugal Book Promoter, is traditionally published in a relatively small run (but still scary!). As with publishing of any kind, things haven't always gone smoothly.

Amazon started shipping it early; not a bad thing. That means I got a great rating. It was in the top ten of its category -- editing -- before it was even released. Not bad. The trouble is, I'm worried it won't show well for its big opener. Did all of you beautiful souls who were going to order it already do so? Then there's the bookstore thing. We've had some distributor problems. So I'm really, really nervous, and I don't know how to counteract that other than to just keep promoting.

All I can say is, I'm glad I have other things (like this blog and my newsletter) to keep my mind off of the whole thing! So how does the song go? "I'll get by with a little love from my friends." It's a good sanity-saving sentiment.

Congratulations! Sounds like it isn't going too badly. I could relate to your comment "...As with publishing of any kind, things haven't always gone smoothly." You can always plan on that happening here (Turkey) but what a great feeling when the book is in your hand or on the shelf -be it electronic or physical!

I see we've traveled paralle roads. These hurdles it seems you navagated, are similar to what I had to skirt around and through, lol.

Actually it's not funny. But if I had to do it over, I might take a different approach, right?

I don't know about you, but I was in such a big hurry to get it printed, I've been racing since its printing; 2 or so months ago, lol.

I had worries as to if pricing was right. The book was being sold, but wasn't out yet. Was it going to have flaws?

At least the costomers were gracious. I kept them informed of any delays. They never said a word, and eventually they received their books.

It was nice to hear from someone else on this topic. Have you heard about other issues like this?
