Across all cultures, common themes span human experience and one theme that is often explored is that of woman. We can be the precocious nymphs - or hellions in leather, we can be mysteries or open books. Our thoughts run the gamut from emotional contemplation of basic enjoyments to astrophysics. We love, we hate, we give, we take.
We are maidens, we are mothers, we are crones.
Last year,
Drollerie Press put out the call for erotic stories that encompass the energies and themes that surround the embraced concept of the three phases of woman.
I latched on to that theme like an octopus on a mollusk.
The result was a story I’m very proud of, “Standing Stone”.
“Standing Stone” is a triptych, a three-part story exploring the themes and sexuality of womanhood -- maiden, mother, and crone -- in three linked vignettes taking place over thousands of years in a Northern European valley. The standing stone and the phases of the moon are the central symbols and the story explores the stations of woman as mystic, destroyer, and preserver, virgin and Venus.
I have been anxiously waiting for this title to be released, and I am very happy to announce that Maiden, Mother, Crone will be available at
Drollerie Press later this month!
I will - of course - let you know the exact release date as soon as possible.
In connection with the release of MMC, I will be guest blogging over at
TRS Blue Blog on Tuesday, March 17th!
