This is a bit like cheating, because my "Confessions of a Hack" have already been posted on Crimespace.ning. But here it is for those of you who aren't over there, or haven't read it.

Do you think that means that the title was not a good one, it isn't memorable to either of us (he!) But yes, I think that book was a really good read, though horendous, I believe, moreso than the movie. I would think that could be a bit frightening for someone to come up to you and say, "I'm your best fan." That line in the film was priceless!

Yes. The Screwtape letters was influential to me, because of the approach. What a way to pose a philosophy, it was great!
The Green Mile, yes. Stephen King is an excellent writer. I read his book (can't remember right now) about the author and the crazy fan, remember? Wow. that was something, too!
